ContainmentProtocol

Arcade puzzle shooter: aim colour-matched shots to set off chain reactions and stop a spreading virus.

Clips

  1. From the title screen to the outbreak: in the pixel-art lab a line of dialogue types out, a green virus bursts out as the room turns red, and the scene fades into the corridor.
  2. In the corridor one shot hits a cluster of viruses and lightning chains between them; the combo multiplier flashes and the score climbs from 57,880 to 84,605.
  3. Choose an upgrade: three cards deal in, Score Boost, Cryo Range and Bonus Stage. Bonus Stage is picked and the other two shatter.
  4. The submarine bonus stage, “Destroy 30 viruses!”: a yellow submarine fires at columns of viruses coming in from the right and the counter climbs from 0/30 to 15/30.
  5. The submarine clears the last viruses: “Level complete!”, then “Reward card earned!”, and back in the corridor the legendary Submarine Strike card rises.

Pit Lane

Dissertation tutor: step through C# one line at a time and predict each value as a racing world builds.

Clips

  1. Pressing Step runs line 7 and the kart and speed dial build themselves out of the blueprint; line 8 then raises the launch gantry.
  2. Before line 17 runs the learner calls speed: 40; the working-out shows 15 + 25 → 40, the value flies into the speed dial and the dial turns gold: in sync.
  3. An X-ray sweep turns the finished racing world into what is in memory: Main’s speed 55, second 4 and distance 150.
  4. The victory lap ends: the camera pulls out over the racing world, the chequered flag flashes and the photo finish shows the sealed call, 55 and 150, in sync.
  5. The learner’s changed program runs for real: the kart drives on to 155 m, then 210 m, and the challenge ends on TARGET HIT, distance = 210.

What I built

  1. A step-by-step tutor: learners run real C# programs one line at a time and call each value before it is shown
  2. A Manim-style layer that animates how C# works out each expression, then flies the value to where it is stored
  3. A racing world the program builds as it runs, across three tiers: variables, loops and methods
  4. A tutor chat that is only told what the learner has seen and never gives the answer away
